About Laura Wilson

LauraHi, I’m Laura WIlson Psychotherapist. I work with adults and children in my psychotherapy practice in Bowral and Sydney.  I also see many clients face to face online.

I am an ANZAP trained psychodynamic psychotherapist  practising what is known as The Conversational Model. This is a therapeutic style that generates openness and safety between us. In this relationship, we work with the many parts of the self, some of which are strong and others that can become diminished as a result of life’s difficult and challenging circumstances of your life. The strengthening of self can help you to interface with the world with greater aliveness, adaptability and flexibility.

I offer psychotherapy in anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity including ADHA and ADD, relationship therapy and grief.

In addition to my psychotherapy training, I hold a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in neurophysiology, Holistic Counselling, and complementary medicine from which I developed an Allied Healthcare Practice with a particular focus on mental health and wellbeing. I am also a qualified teacher specialising in the psychological and emotional well-being of children.

I use the long term Conversational Model as my main mode of therapy. However I am also available for a more short term cognitive approach where necessary.
